According to The Telegraph, Vladimir Putin has chosen to run for President again in the forthcoming 2024 Russian elections, which will keep him in office until 2023. However, his administration has yet to corroborate the report. According to the article, unidentified Kremlin officials have stated that a public statement will be made “soon.” Mr Putin, aged 71, has been Russia’s leader since Boris Yeltsin gave him the president in 1999. He has already been President for the longest period of time since Josef Stalin.
“The decision has been made – he will run,” the publication quoted a person with knowledge of the plans as saying.
