One of the “most important” events for Moscow is the G20 summit in India, according to a senior Russian diplomat, who also hinted that Russian President Vladimir Putin might go. This would be Putin’s first opportunity to interact with western leaders since the start of the war in Ukraine.
The government “looks forward to welcoming Mr. Putin” to the G20 meeting in Delhi on September 9–10, the MEA spokeswoman said in response to queries during the MEA’s weekly briefing.
