As the conflict in the Gaza Strip raged more than two months after it started, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called on Hamas operatives to lay down their arms and declared that the Palestinian organization’s demise was imminent.
“The war is still going on, but Hamas’s demise is just getting started. It’s over, I tell the terrorists from Hamas. For (Yahya) Sinwar, do not die. Give up now, “stated Netanyahu in a statement, addressing the head of Hamas in the Gaza region.
“In the past few days, dozens of Hamas terrorists have surrendered to our forces,” Netanyahu stated.
