The Lok Sabha erupted in excitement this morning as the Parliament’s Winter Session got underway, welcoming Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A day after the BJP won all three of the core states’ assembly elections, cries of “teesri bar Modi sarkar” reverberated across the Lok Sabha.
Along with Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, and Nitin Gadkari, the prime minister was sat in the front row. Ahead of the nation’s elections in 2019, BJP members seated in rows behind him applauded and clapped in approval of his return to power for a third term.
