Following their impressive victory over Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Eden Gardens on Thursday in the IPL 2023, Bollywood star and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) co-owner Shah Rukh Khan exhorted his team to trust in themselves even if the outside world does not. Once RCB decided to bowl, KKR found themselves in trouble at 89/5 until Shardul Thakur staged a remarkable comeback with his 29-ball 68 to propel his team to 204/7. At No. 7, Thakur scored the second-fastest fifty of the year off 20 balls and shared a fun 103-run wicket partnership with Rinku Singh off 47 balls (46 off 33).
