Shabana Azmi recently discussed Javed Akhtar’s first wife Honey Irani’s response to her romance with the famous lyricist on the Arbaaz Khan-hosted discussion programme ,The Invincibles Series Season 2. Shabana Azmi praised Honey Irani for handling the matter graciously back then. However, the Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani actor stated that Honey Irani was “bitter” when the relationship began. Shabana Azmi recalls Honey Irani initially keeping a safe distance and refusing to urge a connection. Speaking with Arbaaz Khan, she remarked, “I really doff my hat to Honey, because that generosity came from her.” And now, even with Honey, we have a pretty fantastic connection. We determined that there should be no animosity involved. Of course, at first, she was bitter and felt rejected. But he persisted in his efforts. And now, what has resulted is something I am really pleased of.”
