Salman Butt, a former captain of Pakistan, has retaliated against Mohammed Shami for his offensive remarks against the great Pakistani batsman Inzamam-ul-Haq. Notably, Shami recently addressed the unfounded claims made by the former Pakistani player that Indian bowlers tampered with balls during the 2024 T20 World Cup. In a podcast with Shubhankar Mishra, Shami offered his opinion on the claims, saying that people shouldn’t be made idiots by remarks that amount to “cartoongiri,” or buffoonery.
