The record for the most runs scored by an Indian in ICC white-ball competitions was broken by Virat Kohli.
Tendulkar scored 2,719 runs in 61 matches, compared to Kohli’s 2,720 runs in 67 games.
By participating in all three of the major white-ball ICC events, Virat Kohli set a new record.
On Sunday, October 8, during India’s ICC World Cup 2023 encounter against Australia at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium, star batsman Virat Kohli overtook Sachin Tendulkar’s record for the most runs scored by an Indian in white-ball ICC competitions.
