The iconic Sachin Tendulkar stated on Tuesday that competing in the Ranji Trophy allows national players to get back to basics while also raising the level of the domestic tournament. The BCCI has made it necessary for its centrally contracted players to play domestic red-ball cricket while they are not on national duty or with the NCA.
