External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said on Monday that globalisation has been weaponised, referring to currency, trade, and tourism as “weapons.”
While acknowledging the benefits of globalisation, he also highlighted its drawbacks, emphasising the concentration of economic power in a few regions, on which much of the world relies.
Addressing the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs in Lagos, Mr Jaishankar stated that the world order established in 1945 still exists, with those in power unwilling to create more opportunities for others.
