Mohan Bhagwat, the president of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), stated that the Sangh Parivar has never objected to reservations given to specific communities.
Speaking at an event held in a school, Mr. Bhagwat stated that the Sangh believes the reservations should be kept in place for as long as necessary.
Following a verbal sparring match between the Congress and the BJP about reservations, Mr. Bhagwat reiterated his position.
As long as there remains prejudice in society, reservations should be allowed, according to the chairman of the RSS in Nagpur last year.
He had stated that discrimination occurs in society even if it is unseen.
