Guru Nanak Jayanti, or Gurpurab, commemorates the birth of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism and the first of the ten Sikh Gurus. Gurpurab will be commemorated this year on November 15, bringing millions of people from all over the world together to honour Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings of unity, compassion, and equality. Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings emphasised love, equality, honesty, and living a simple life in peace with others.
