In reaction to a new internet platform legislation in the region, Elon Musk, the owner of social media network X, is thinking about eliminating the service formerly known as Twitter from Europe, according to news site Insider on Wednesday.
According to a person familiar with the business, the billionaire has talked of deactivating the app in the area or forbidding users in the European Union from using it.
The Digital Services Act (DSA), which was adopted by the European Union in August, establishes guidelines for a number of things, including limiting or outlawing specific user-targeting practises and sharing some internal data with regulators and related researchers.
