Washington, D.C. On Thursday, President Joe Biden will travel to South Carolina to argue that economic policies he pushed through Congress against strong Republican resistance are keeping the deep-red state — and other states that supported Donald Trump in 2020 — thriving.
White House officials contended that if Republicans had gotten their way, South Carolina, like many other Republican-controlled states, would have lost out on billions of dollars in investments and thousands of jobs prior to Biden’s visit to a state that he lost by over 12 percentage points in the 2020 election.
